Hurayra HALAL Pet Food, the world’s first HMC halal-certified premium cat food brand, has officially launched in the United Arab Emirates. Hurayra has partnered with distributors, Eurogulf Group to make the product available in leading UAE supermarkets and retailers, marking the company’s first major step into the Middle East market.
Founded by UK entrepreneur Aihtsham Rashid, Hurayra Pet Food is on a mission to redefine pet nutrition with high-quality, ethically sourced, halal-certified products. After two years of development and overcoming industry hurdles, Hurayra’s UAE debut reflects the growing demand for inclusive and ethical pet care choices among the region’s pet owners.

Crafted with input from vets and pet nutritionists, Hurayra’s dry cat food is made from ethically sourced ingredients and is free from grain, wheat, and soybean fillers. Packaged in recyclable materials, the range balances sustainability with affordability, offering a premium product that aligns with halal standards. A wet food range, along with dog food, will follow later in 2025.
The UAE launch comes as part of Hurayra’s wider international growth strategy. Last month, the company announced a landmark deal with Morrisons supermarket in the UK, making it the first halal-certified cat food to be stocked by one of the UK’s big four supermarkets. Further launches in India and Europe are also planned in 2025.
As part of the launch, Hurayra is exhibiting this week at ADIHEX in Abu Dhabi. Visitors can find the team at Stand 11 to learn more about the products, meet the founder, and explore the brand’s mission to set new standards in ethical pet nutrition.
Customers will be able to buy Hurayra products directly from https://eurogulfgroup.com in the coming weeks, with subscription options available, alongside a personalised feeding plan tailored to a cat’s weight and needs.
